HC rebound to defeat Combermere

Harrison College rebounded to pip Combermere 48-44 at Crumpton Street a day after losing their unbeaten streak in the Co-operators General Insurance Under-16 Basketball Competition Tuesday.
Nicholai Burton scored a game high 20 points for College to nullify 11 from Josiah Beckles and ten from Christopher Collymore.  
Harrison College remain in the second spot behind their conquerors, Queen’s College.
The unbeaten third placed Garrison Secondary continued their domination of other teams in topping the 100-point mark while crushing Deighton Griffith 106-20 at Garrison.  
Andrew Ifill lead the winners with 35 points, while Jarad Grant scored 20, Amal Smith 16 and Shaquan Newton 11.
At Black Rock, Raphael Brathwaite poured in 46 points to lead Ellerslie to a 77-12 triumph over Alexandra.  
The north schools did not travel well as St James went to St  John and were crushed by The Lodge School 62-6. Jamal Hunter shot 28 points and Kobe Browne added 11.
Junior national volleyballer Andriy Stapleton hit 20 points and Jabari Austin contributed ten at Church Hill for Foundation to defeat St Leonard’s Boys 47-15. (KB)
