New United States Ambassador to Barbados Larry Leon Palmer presented his credentials to Acting Governor General Elliott Belgrave in a short ceremony at Government House on Tuesday.
A career member of the United States Senior Foreign Service, Palmer previously served as ambassador to Honduras and as charge d’affaires in Ecuador.
He has had other diplomatic postings in the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Paraguay, Korea, and Sierra Leone.
The United States envoy will be based in Bridgetown, but will be accredited to the English-speaking Eastern Caribbean. (BGIS)
