It’s been a nightmare series for West Indies’ cricketers on their tour of England.
For Marlon Samuels, however, it has been a dream period.
The sweet-stroking right-hander has batted with assurance and maturity in the first two Tests while the majority of his teammates have been found wanting.
As the Caribbean side slumped to a second successive defeat at Trent Bridge on Monday, Samuels was gaining more admirers during an impressive unbeaten 76 – an innings that followed his 117 in the first innings and scores of 31 and 86 in the first Test.
