Clean up at Furniture Limited

A massive clean-up operation got under way today at Furniture Limited Department Store on Cumberland Street, The City, a day after it was closed over environmental concerns.
And Minister of Health Donville Inniss, who visited the business for the second time in as many days, told members of the media that the clean-up “must be carried out as a matter of urgency”.
The Minister and a team led by Senior Environmental Health Officer, Basil Pilgrim, spoke to store owner, well-known businesswoman Asha “Mrs Ram” Mirchandani, for close to an hour today and briefly toured Furniture Limited and another store in the area, Macy’s, which is also owned by the Mirchandani family.
