KRAIGG?BRATHWAITE, Lendl Simmons and Devendra Bishoo begin their quest to revive their international careers this weekend with the start of the “A” series cricket clash against India at Kensington Oval.
The opening unofficial four-day Test starts this morning and coach Henderson Springer says cricket fans can expect three hard-fought Tests against an Indian side that includes dashing Rohit Sharma, who has played 80 One-Day Internationals, and left-handed opening batsman Abhinav Mukund, who played the first of his five Tests against the West Indies last year.
During a net session yesterday afternoon, Springer said he thought West Indies might be the favourites but he was wary of an Indian side with some international experience.
“India have a few guys who have played Test cricket and One-Day Internationals. They have been in cricket for the last year while our guys have been in a first-class tournament where teams have been beaten in two and three days.
