NINE CONTESTANTS gave an impressive demonstration of fitness and discipline when the annual Island Fitness Pageant came off last Sunday night at the St Leonard’s Boys’ School auditorium.
Right from the start, the contestants showed that they had put in lots of hard work in preparation for the show as they went through their various routines in the fitness segment during the first half.
That half saw Melissa Abed leading off in a very impressive way, to the appreciation of the very supportive crowd. Her performance suggested that she would have been in the first three.
Another outstanding competitor was Christina Atherley, who gave a good display of fitness and discipline, using the stage well in a flawless presentation both in her routine and in the swimwear section.
