SENIOR Civil Servant George Patrick Cobham was placed on $5 000 bail with a surety after pleading not guilty yesterday to two matters resulting from an alleged altercation with one of his senior colleagues.
Cobham, 62, a senior executive officer at Government Headquarters, who resides at No. 6 Castle Heights, St Philip, pleaded not guilty to the charge that on June 6, he did unlawfully and maliciously inflict serious bodily harm on Deborah Payne, an acting deputy permanent secretary.
He also pleaded not guilty to the charge that on that same day, without lawful excuse, he damaged a window belonging to the Crown.
