I read your column every day and I admire the positive advice you give to people.
I am responding to a letter in the Tuesday, June 5 Dear Christine column.
My question is, why would any decent self-respecting young lady or woman for that matter stick around a man who spits in her face and verbally abuses and mistreats her?
It is clear that the woman does not think she is worth much. I just want the young women out there to hold their heads up, look in the mirror and repeat as many times as needed: “I am worthy and as a woman I deserve the best life has to offer me.”
It makes no sense going around saying there are no decent men out there. As hard as it may be to believe, there are good men out there. One just needs to take their time in a relationship and separate the sheep from the goats. Thank you for publishing my letter and may God continue to richly bless you with good health and strength to help the many needy people in Barbados.
