SAGICOR UWI can’t seem to do anything wrong at the moment.
The three-time defending champions maintained their 100 per cent winning record in the LIME Elite Division after completing an exciting six-wicket victory over Super Centre Spartan on the final day of third-round matches yesterday.
Spartan’s second innings declaration on 256 for eight shortly after tea left UWI with a target of 220 in a minimum of 33 overs and the hosts coasted home, losing four wickets before winning at 6:07 p.m. with five overs remaining.
It was UWI’s third successive win and it maintained their ten-point lead at the top of the table after Spartan’s gamble backfired.
