Eastmond: The seat is mine

HAVING?BEEN GIVEN the green light by the Barbados Labour Party (BLP) to be a candidate once more, former Government minister Lynette Eastmond has vowed to take the St Philip West riding from Cabinet minister Dr David Estwick.
“I am ready to deliver St Philip West for the Barbados Labour Party. The mood of the country has drifted away from the Democratic Labour Party (DLP) and my team and I are confident of capturing the seat.
“Estwick has lost touch with the people. He has failed them. My team and I are confident,” she said last night.
Eastmond, an attorney-at-law and a two-time candidate, was selected on the strength of the endorsement of BLP political leader Owen Arthur.
