Father’s Day treat

After the customary Sunday morning church service and a delicious meal for Ian Straughn and his family, the diehard former player and supporter of the YMPC cricket club and his two sons – Ethan, 4, and Aidan, 6 – took in the game at the Empire Cricket Club in Bank Hall. St Michael.
Being with his two sons made Father’s Day special for Ian although his team did not fare too well in the field. Centuries by former Barbados captain Ryan Hinds and young gun Roston Chase piloted Empire to a 300-plus total in their 50 overs on a threes and fours ground that saw YMPC players chasing leather all morning.
