It was a day of pure fun and recognition for fathers on Friday at Vauxhall Primary School, as many took the day off to spend quality time with their children.
From as early as 9:30 a.m. parents and children began to turn up.
Both were exposed to a wide variety of activities such as table tennis, dominoes, road tennis, football, cricket and the reading of poems.
Agriculture teacher Adrian Hunte said he had hoped to have a football and cricket match where fathers played against the children.
Hunte said among invited guests were personnel from the Randall Phillips polyclinic who provided health checks, including cholesterol and blood pressure testing.
