Now the island’s signature chattel houses have been captured for all times in a collaborative effort between renowned international photographer Bob Kiss and architectural historian Senator Professor Henry Fraser.
The book, entitled Barbados Chattel Houses, traces the history of the wooden structures; showcases some of the best and worst examples of the style of building, and looks at the possible future.
