Burst mains are responsible for water outages and low pressure in some parts of Christ Church, St James and St Thomas today.
The Barbados Water Authority in a press release today explained there were bursts on four-inch mains in Goodland Gardens, Christ Church; Hoytes Village, St James and an eight-inch main in Hopewell, St Thomas. “The main in Hopewell was repaired yesterday but has again ruptured today Saturday. The affected areas include Hopewell, Forty Acres, Bridgefield, Vaulcluse, Glendale, Shop Hill, Christie Village, Rock Hall and the immediate surrounding areas. The other bursts are affecting customers in the immediate surrounding areas only” stated the release. Work crews are currently conducting repairs and water tankers have been dispatched to assist affected residents.
