Kellman: More skills needed

THE NEED for highly qualified and skilled individuals has intensified as companies around the world seek to meet global competition head-on.
As a result, there is a growing need for “academic adjustment” to satisfy the job market, says Minister of Industry, Small Business and Rural Development Denis Kellman.
His comments came while delivering the feature address during the launch of the City & Guilds’ Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) at the Hilton Barbados yesterday.
Kellman said the region was currently grappling with the reality of a changing international business environment and therefore, the ILM was timely.
