Wise and not wild decisions will govern the path of this country’s policy makers.
So says Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler this evening as he started debate on the 2012 Financial and Budgetary Statement in the House of Assembly.
He said the remit of Government was to learn from the experiences in times of harsh economic and social dislocation.
He said it was not to lament what could have been, or should have been done, but it is about the choices made to steer this country in turbulent times.
“I make bold to say that no Government has had to face what this Administration has had to face in the last four years. The measure of a government is not how well it does in prosperous times, but how well it manages when times are tough.”
