Dominic Dent didn’t just lead St Gabriel’s to victory. He dented all of Bay Primary’s hopes too.
St Gabriel’s tall, skilful captain turned in a brilliant performance to help his team capture the National Sports Council BICO Primary Schools Football Competition title with a commanding 3-1 win over Bay Primary at the National Stadium yesterday.
Were it not for some brilliant goalkeeping from Bay Primary’s custodian, Shemar Persuad, Dent could easily have had a hat-trick.
Despite not scoring, Dent’s efforts were still good enough to earn him the Man-of-the-Final award, while also leading his school to their fourth title, and third in five years.
It’s St Gabriel’s!
