Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes divorcing

One of Hollywood’s most talked-about couples has come to an end.
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are getting a divorce after five years of marriage, Cruise’s attorney tells CNN.
Katie has filed for divorce,” Cruise’s attorney says in a statement. “Tom is very sad about it and is concentrating on the kids.”
An attorney for Holmes added in a separate statement, “This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family. Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter’s best interest.”
People Magazine, which broke the story, notes that the pair tied the knot in November 2006 after welcoming their only child together, daughter Suri, in April of that year.
