Residents living on the East Coast are experiencing some water outages resulting from the rupture of a ten-inch main which ruptured in Willow Hill near Glenburnie.
Affected areas stretch from Foster Hall in St John to St Simons in St Andrew and include Bathsheba, St Elizabeth Village, Cattlewash, Belleplaine and districts serviced by the facilities at Haggatts, Ozone and Joes River.
A release from the Barbados Water Authority this afternoon stated that work crews were currently conducting repairs.  The BWA is also carrying out repairs to bursts on four-inch mains in Trents, St Lucy and Briar Hall, Christ Church as well as repairing services at Gateway Mall in James Street, Bridgetown.   The Authority has dispatched water tankers to help individuals in the affected areas.
