Work continues on Fairchild Street market

The Ministry of Transport and Works will be continuing work on the removal of the asbestos sheets from the Fairchild Street Market this weekend.
The work will be carried out tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next day.
The Ministry is requesting businesses in Fairchild Street, Independence Square and Cavans Lane to switch off their air-conditioning units between those times each day that the work is being carried out. 
The removal of the asbestos will be done under the supervision of the Environmental Protection Department. (PR)
