CONCERNS over the scheduling of cricket on Kadooment Day have forced organizers to adjust the itinerary for the West Indies Cricket Board’s regional Under-19 tournament.
Additionally, the majority of matches carded for Kensington Oval during the monthlong tournament will be shifted because it won’t be available.
Under the original schedule published in the Barbados Cricket Association’s 2012 fixtures, the third round of matches in the three-day segment of the championships was set for Sunday, August 5, Monday, August 6 and Tuesday, August 7.
With the first Monday in August traditionally reserved for the culmination of the Crop Over Festival, it raised eyebrows among a few stakeholders, including umpires, match referees, scorers, groundstaff and other service providers.
