The integrated Solid Waste Management Programme of the Mangrove Pond Landfill is an example of Government’s commitment to a green society, says Prime Minister Freundel Stuart.
Just back from the CARICOM Heads Of Government Summit in St Lucia, the Prime Minister officially opened cell four of the landfill yesterday, then took a brief tour of the facility.
“The green economy represents the key developmental path for our small island developing state and is deeply rooted in the ethos of sustainable development,” he told the gathering.
