Dear Christine,
I am desperately pleading for some assistance. I was forced to quit work when I was made medically unfit. From thereon, things have been hard for me.
By the time I pay rent and try to pay my utility bills, there is not enough money to buy food. Many days we go without eating or have to beg. It is especially hard on the children – one of whom is five and the other 11 years old.
Some days my blood pressure is high from worry. I do not know what to do. Living like this is hard. It is frustrating, especially when I cannot even give myself or the children a cup of tea.
It is not easy writing for help, but what else can I do? I am asking you to place my letter in your column and for anyone willing to help to contact you.
I am leaving my address. Please come and see me. I need someone to talk to and I am looking forward to hearing from you.
– M.S.
Dear M.S.,
I feel your frustration and pain of not being able to eat a meal each day or provide for your family.
I have placed your letter in this column with the hope that readers would come to your aid and supply you and your family with food items. I also understand that with school scheduled for September, the children will also need supplies.
Help is on the way. There are still some good Samaritans around and I encourage readers to give to your cause. – CHRISTINE
