Barbadian Bradley Ally won his heat in the men’s 400-metre individual medley on the opening day of the London Olympics yesterday, but it was not enough for him to make the final.
Swimming out of Lane 5 in Heat 1, Ally finished in a time of four minutes, 21.32 seconds.
The time, however, was good enough only for a 25th place finish overall in the event.
Ally will now turn his attention to the 100-metre backstroke today and 200-metre individual medley on Wednesday.
