Tropical Storm warning for Barbados

A Tropical Storm warning is now in effect for Barbados.
The latest advisory from the Barbados Meteorological Services stated that the Tropical Depression number 5 has been upgraded to Tropical Storm Ernesto.
Based on predictions, Tropical Storm conditions are likely to affect Barbados within another 12 to 18 hours.
“At 2 p.m. the center of Tropical Storm Ernesto was located near latitude 12.8 north, longitude 55.6 west or about 270 miles, 345 km to the east of Barbados.”
“Ernesto is moving toward the west at 23 miles per hour and this general motion is expected to continue for the next 24 to 48 hours,” stated the advisory.
On this present track, Ernesto is expected to pass near or over Barbados early tomorrow morning, moving across the Central Lesser Antilles late in the evening.(CM/PR)
