Over the weekend amid a crush of activities, Barbados also hailed calypso king Red Plastic Bag (RPB), who took home his tenth crown and celebrates 30 years in the business this year.
Li’l Rick also took home the inaugural Foreday Morning Stag Jam Tune, and Mikey won his third calypso title this season – the People’s Monarch.

On RPB’s win, some said they had him to take the crown from the start of the competition.
