Pride is all Angela Young can feel for former World champion Ryan Brathwaite following the heartfelt performance that saw her son finish an encouraging fifth in yesterday’s highly-anticipated 110 Olympics hurdles finals in London.
“I feel very good because I know he tried,” said a stirred Young just moments after watching the long-awaited final with her workmates.
“I was praying for him and I know God always has a plan for everyone so I’m glad that he is doing something good for the country.
“[And] I know Bajans feel good to see what he did; a lot of them are praising him. Thanks to everyone who was there for him and who was there for me. And even those who weren’t there,” she added.
