The next 48 hours will be critical for a 23-year-old mother of three who was burned over 83 per cent of her body yesterday morning during a house fire at Diamond Valley, St Philip.
Lynette Stoute is fighting for her life at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) after trying to save her children, who unknown to her, had already escaped the blaze that started around 9 a.m.
At the time of the incident, Lynette, her three children and a nine-year-old nephew were at home.
Her father James Best and close friend Ronesha Haynes told the WEEKEND NATION that in a panic the young mother rushed out of the house, and although they tried to tell her that five-year-old Shamyah, Jayden, 3, and Taleisha, 1, were safe, she ran back into the house searching for them. (CT)
