The Foreday Morning revellers wined and chipped to Spring Garden Highway. Nothing could stop them.
Although it rained on Kadooment Day, thousands of revellers took to the street – regardless of the weather and costume price concerns.
Of course the weather did not stop the many onlookers, which included this writer.

On Kadooment Day there was not anything new. It was still too much exposure from our female revellers. Too many of our people could be seen drinking alcoholic beverages.
There were too many dances that carried the sexual overtones. When will it stop? Only God knows.
I am very concerned about the inappropriate use of school uniforms which were worn by some. This uniform thing is going too far – when will it stop!
