The Holetown Festival is to have a makeover now that its organizing committee is joining forces with the promoters of the Midnight Carnival held annually on the West Coast.
The merger between the committee and Settlers: The West Coast Experience was announced in a Press release, with the new partners saying the move would be mutually beneficial.
The Holetown Festival will be revamped with new events while retaining its traditional attractions.
Eon Phillips, chairman of the Holetown Festival Committee, said: “We think it is a very good partnership. The way that the Holetown Festival is going, working with the Barbados Tourism Authority (BTA) and the National Cultural Foundation, it was ideally placed for a merger with the Settlers carnival and we are glad to work together.” (PR)
