Man charged for drugs

Pete Dave Welch, a 25-year-old Jamaican national has been arrested and charged by members of the Drug Squad for the following offences: Possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking, and importation of ½ lb of cannabis.
Welch arrived in the island by air from Jamaica on August 17, 2012 about 5:20 p.m and was interviewed by the police and then detained at the QEH on suspicion.  He subsequently passed out 20 packages of cannabis which he digested, weighing half of a pound.
He is expected to appear at the District B Magistrate Court today Friday August 24. 2012.
