Several?elderly St Philip residents have been conned out of their money by tricksters posing as couriers of a local company.
Last Tuesday the con artistes scammed three elderly women from Ebenezer, Brereton and Sunbury, St Philip, out of a total of $1 100 by pretending they were delivering packages sent by relatives abroad.
A fourth person they targeted managed to turn the tables on the tricksters by handing over pieces of paper in an envelope when she suspected that something was awry.
Police at the Oistins Station confirmed yesterday that they were investigating the reports.
