Members of the Drug Squad have arrested and charged two men on Wednesday September 5, 2012 in connection with the seizure of 664 pounds of cannabis found in a container at the Bridgetown Port on Monday September 3, 2012.
They are Corrie McCaulay Brathwaite, 36 years of Dash Valley, St George; and Dwight Anderson Michael Clarke, 33 years of Mangrove, St. Philip. Both men are employed as Customs Brokers.
Brathwaite and Clarke have been jointly charged with possession; possession with intent to supply; trafficking; and importation of cannabis. The illegal drug was found among personal items in the container.
The accused are expected to appear at the District A Magistrate Court later today. (PR)
