CLAPHAM almost chose the worst time to lose the game.
Station Hill just had better timing in losing their composure.
Junior basketball’s only two-time champs are now three times lucky, but not without help, as Mpact Station Hill Cavaliers suffered a complete mental breakdown while scoring just five third-quarter points to help hand Clapham Bulls the Conscendo Under-20 title in Thursday’s 75-61 win at the Wildey Gymnasium.
It was the most regrettable twist to a well-anticipated title game that promised so much while featuring the unbeaten Bulls going toe-to-toe with the league’s deepest team.
Well, at least Station Hill started the night with a deep team.
