THE KIWANIS CLUBS of Barbados have been reaching out to help a number of charities across the island in recent years with their silver dollar project.
Thousands of dollars have been donated to help associations and organizations ranging from the Barbados Cancer Society to those helping dyslexic children and others involved in educating and sensitizing on issues relating to asthma.
Kiwanis recently launched its 2012 Silver Dollars For Children drive at the Divi Southwinds Beach Resort, Christ Church, which was attended by a cross-section of people in society.
There, Kiwanians outlined plans for the project and what they are hoping to achieve.
