More than 150 staffers?of the former Almond Beach Club received their severance pay yesterday.
Some long-serving staffers received cheques ranging between $20 000 and $60 000.
Many of the delighted staffers were from guest services, housekeeping, restaurant and bars and the kitchen.
A mother of three at the resort which has been bought by Elite Island Resorts, could not contain her delight. (MK)
