Dear Christine,
Please do not hesitate to print this letter as I am in need of an answer.
I work in an office which is predominately run by some hard-working men, all of whom are married. I’ve been working for this company for more than a decade and we’ve all got along great as a team.
About three months ago a woman from another country was hired in a mid-management position. That was fine with all us and all was going well until she started pushing herself up to one of the male managers.
Christine, it seems like she is doing all within her power to start a relationship with him and she has made no bones about it. He has a beautiful wife whom I know personally and they are the parents of three children.
Christine, on evenings she will ask for a ride home and has even invited him out to lunch – which, thank God, he has refused to date.
She comes to the office dressed in sexy work suits whenever she has to face the managers for the weekly meeting. Of course, this particular boss is also there.   Â
I am tempted to tell this man’s wife about what this woman is doing. As far as I know the boss has not been showing any interest in her other than work.
What should I do?
– Cathie
Dear Cathie,
I think you should leave well enough alone.
You said there was no indication this man was interested in this woman. Maybe he is aware of her advances and he is letting her down softly.  Â
Chances are he has already given her the clue that he is not interested. To tell his wife is to open this man up to scrutiny. I get the feeling he has everything under control.
– CHRISTINE
