Heat over other woman at the wheel

A SENIOR POLITICO who tries to keep a low profile recently had all of his personal business exposed in the most public of ways.
From what Cou Cou was told, this man lent his car to a woman with whom he is very familiar.
Unfortunately, his wife saw the car and who was in it and called the police to say it was stolen.
When the police found the car the attractive young woman at the wheel insisted that the big-up man had indeed lent her the vehicle. A call to the goodly gentleman confirmed the young woman’s story.
Wifey wanted to know why the young woman, who was in the news some months back, had the politico’s car, what was the link between them, how long they were friends and why she, as wife, was not told about this person.
Apparently, the heat was so hot for the politico that he had to seek refuge to rest his head that night. That made him reflect on what a man he is seeking to emulate went through.
From what Cou Cou has been told, this politico and his wife have been at odds since then, though he is now back in the house.
Cheers for boss’ exit
STAFF AT AN AGENCY with a naughty name are rejoicing over the departure of their boss.
Word making the rounds is that his time has expired and no lifeline has been thrown. So he is now adrift, much to the delight of his former staffers who claim they smelt hell under his management.
According to them, for the past four years no staff meetings or Christmas parties were held. He went on most of the overseas trips available, transferred staff, refused to give loans and even took his immediate boss to the ministry.
Staff were so happy to see the back of this man that they actually had a toast to his departure.
Stuck on choice
WAS THERE A SECRET meeting held to review the decision on whether a particular person should be a candidate?
Someone in the know has told Cou Cou that a meeting was held on Thursday night and those who attended felt very strongly that the person chosen could not deliver the required result.
The problem is: who will fill the vacancy?
The individual who actively sought the nod is no longer interested and there are no other creditable candidates.
So it seems this group is stuck in the mud on this move.
Just a parting drink
AN END OF AN era occurred last Tuesday but if you missed it, no problem – most people did.
A man who dedicated his life to his profession went home with only a brief obligatory drink with a chosen few of his colleagues present in his office.
Though he had reached the near pinnacle of his profession there was no grand farewell or major speeches by big-ups, customary for such times.
Just goes to show why politics can be a volatile mix in some professions.
