Ernie and Bert from Sesame Street pulled up in a stretch limousine at a few primary schools yesterday, including Wesley Hall Infants, West Terrace, Lawrence T. Gay, Eden Lodge, Charles F. Broome and Westbury, to the sound of hundreds of screaming children.
At all schools, the pupils welcomed them warmly and enthusiastically with hugs and kisses, even the principals and teachers got in on the fun.
They will be visiting more schools next week.
