Hurricane Sandy kills 3 in Haiti

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti – The death toll in Haiti due to the close passage of Hurricane Sandy, has now risen to three.
Reports out of the French speaking nation are that two women and a man were killed in the southern section of the country.
Haiti Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe in an effort to get an assessment of the damage,met with Finance Minister, Marie-Carmelle Jean Mary early today.
As  the storm neared Haiti late yesterday, head of Civil Defense, Alta Jean Baptist said just under six thousand people were moved to shelters. (CMC)
