Still keen

OTTIS GIBSON may not be  a politician, but like Freundel Stuart and Barack Obama, he is keen to serve another term at the top – as head coach of the West Indies cricket team.
The 43-year-old is a few months away from completing three years in the demanding role and is eager to continue his work in trying to guide  the regional team back among the elite in world cricket.
“My contract expires in February. I’ve had talks with the board. I’ve made it known to the board, yes, I will be keen to continue if that is what they desire,” Gibson said in an exclusive interview with the SUNDAY SUN before the team’s departure to Bangladesh last Friday.
“It’s been three tricky years and the success is just starting to show. The World Cup win gives everybody involved a lot  of belief in what we’re doing and where we’re going.
