A RADICAL REHABILITATION method is needed in Her Majesty’s Prisons Dodds.
Chairman of the Prison Fellowship International (PFI) North America and the Caribbean, Win Callender, stated this during the launch of the fellowship’s annual Angel Tree programme at the Barbados Public Workers Cooperative Credit Union, Belmont Road, yesterday.
Callender said that though active rehabilitation programmes existed, the prison population was just around 1 100, and the recidivism rate was “out of control”.
“From my observation and from some research that I have done, you believe that it is time for a rehabilitation revolution to take place in this country. (AH)
