Junior Gong Marley says he just can’t wait to get on stage to entertain Barbadian fans at this year’s Hennessy Artistry concert on Saturday, December 1, at Kensington Oval.
The internationally popular Jamaican reggae artist, son of the late legendary superstar Bob Marley, passed through Barbados recently on his way home from performing at the annual Dominica Creole Festival, which also featured Barbados’ own Edwin Yearwood and krosfyah, among others.
With a few hours to spare between flights, Junior Gong took time out to meet with Freddy Hill of FAS Entertainment Services, who gave him an update on the promotion, arrangements for his accommodation and technical details about the venue as they relate to his performance.
The artiste also visited Divi Southwinds, the hotel where he and his group will be staying, and was taken on a tour by general manager Alvin Jemmott.
Before flying to Jamaica in the afternoon, Junior Gong expressed his delight at being able to perform at Hennessy Artistry.
“It’s been a few years since I have been in Barbados and I just can’t wait for the first of December to give all of my fans a very special treat.”
Junior Gong will share the Hennessy Artistry stage with fellow Jamaican performers Sizzla and Queen Ifrica, the legendary United States-based group Third World and Barbadians Buggy Nhakante and NexCyx. (PR)
