It was a fund-raiser, and patrons of the event got more than their money’s worth in good music from some of the best on the local classical music scene, contributing their talent to the concert hosted by the Barbados Association of Piano Teachers (BAPIT) at St Gabriel’s School recently.
Gernot Mehnert, Victoria Zaborskaya, James Walker, Vallis Jemmott,  Michelle Cumberbatch Evelyn Calnick performed on piano, clarinet, viola,  guitar and violin; there were vocals by Machelle Farley and by Pam Frost accompanying herself on piano.
Altogether it was an evening feast of musical offerings, and lovers of this genre of music were there to show their appreciation and to mingle with the BAPIT members. Social Scene zeroed in on the mingling.
