Intermittent showers did not dampen the spirits of those who took part in this morning’s Nation Fun Walk which culminated at the Garrison Savannah a few moments ago.
Over 40 trophies and awards were presented to a number of schools, companies, individuals and groups.
The over 20-year-old event got off to a smooth start this morning – the run at approximately 5:45 and walk 6:15 in front of the Dalkeith Methodist Church with a record number of non-registered walkers and runners taking part this year.
Wearing #3629, Damian Richards walked away with the award for most innovative – dressed in a white cape and a box decorated with clippings of Nation newspaper over his head.
A gangnam style dance competition brought the greatly anticipated event to a happy end. (MM)
