Silver-plated Gala

The tradition of NIFCA continued at the gala last night at the Gymnasium of the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex.
It was a night when silver glistened brightly from the stage as was reflected in the 14 performers awarded silver. Another five people took gold and only two copped bronze.
The performances of the night were arguably Hers-Tory, a dance choreographed by Aisha Commissiong for Dancin’ Africa and Janine White’s dramatic piece titled This Body Is Not Mine. Fittingly, both pieces were awarded gold. (YB)
