Silas Kisorio had his race strategy all planned  – keep an eye on the men who have been here before, then make a move.
The Kenyan played a waiting game from the start of the 2012 Run Barbados 10K on Bay Street, all the way along Hincks Street, Princess Alice Highway, Spring Garden Highway and through Fontabelle.
Only Canadian Matt Loiselle had been able to stay the course as challengers fell away.
With one kilometre remaining, Kisorio made his final move, shaking off Loiselle to win in 30:58 minutes, braving heat and humidity to take his first victory on Barbadian soil.
Here, Kisorio breaking the banner at the finish line to become new champion of the Run Barbados 10K.
