This is the Christmas season and I am sure you will receive lots of letters from people requesting help at this time.
I would like to be added to your list. I am the mother of five children and we have been going without proper meals for quite a long time. There is nothing I would not do for my children, but my hands are tied.
I am asking anyone out there who can, to help me make Christmas special for my children. Any donations of food or used toys would be greatly appreciated.

Dear K,
You are so right. There are many needy children and parents out there who will not be able to enjoy a good Christmas unless kind-hearted Barbadians and charities reach out to offer some kind of help.
Therefore, I will take this time to ask business houses and individuals to lend a helping hand as they give this season – no matter how small. The most urgent needs are food, clothing and assistance with utility bills.
Anyone wishing to help can bring their donations on Friday, December 21, to THE NATION’s offices.
