Two hundred BARBADIAN CHILDREN each got a new pair of Christmas shoes, thanks to Payless ShoeSource.
The first group, 20 students of the Challenor School, received their coupons and selected shoes at the Payless Hastings store yesterday.
Allison Jones, country manager for Payless ShoeSource in Barbados, said it was the company’s way of bringing smiles to the faces of hundreds of children during the festive season.
Jones said that the local component of the Payless Gives Shoes 4 Kids Programme, is a fulfilment of a commitment made by the company at its official launch in May that during the Christmas season US$125 000 in vouchers valued at $60 each would be distributed to deserving children in Barbados.
