THERE ARE many young people who will either not seek sexual intercourse or will stop engaging in the activity until the time is “right”.
This was the message that emerged when hundreds of worshippers, including many young people, gathered at the Collymore Rock Nazarene Church Friday night.
More than 60 youths went before the stage to pledge not to engage in sexual intercourse until they find a partner for life and marry.
Their pledges came towards the end of a three-hour service session entitled Virginity is Possible (VIP). During the service artistes belted out songs they had written, in reggae and pop music.
A dozen young people, some in their 20s, took to a large screen to give testimonials of past sexual experiences and reasons for abandoning such activity.
